You May Be Very Wrong As Regards Your Previous Blogging Knowledge
Concentrate on the Commenters: Blog visitors that comment should be given respect and treated with a lot of kindness. This is how you convince them to come back to your blog time and time again. First, know who is making the comments. If you notice a useful comment from a new blog visitor, make this person feel welcomed. Make him feel special and like a member of the blog family. Secondly, whenever a commenter asks a question that requires an answer, you should reply back as soon as possible. Sometimes you will learn that these questions might not be relevant to your blog article. But, you do not want to lose these new blog visitors, so answer their questions. Let these commenters see that there is a good reason to subscribe to your blog in the near future. Last but not the least, there will be times when you'll receive thanks from your readers through the comments. Let them see that you like the kind things that they have left in the comments. There must be balance when you deal with people who make comments. This will give you the chance to automatically get things set in place.
Talk with Your Visitors: If your blog is not creating a huge readership, then it is does not have a good grip on its target market. If you want your first time visitors to become lifelong readers of your blog, then you need to talk to your visitors.
This does not mean that you converse with them here and there. But, you should shoot for a strong connection. Answer the comments of your readership. Let them see that you are there for them. Ask if there is anything you can do to help them and see how they feel after every post. There are various methods you can use to get your readers to respond. But, before you can do this, you have to bond with your visitors. When you form a good relationship, your readers will be able to trust you. When they are reading your blog, they will see you as being credible.
Don't Make it Hard to Subscribe: You really want lots of readers subscribing to your blog through your RSS feed or by email. If someone wants to subscribe to your blog, make sure that this is easy for them to do. So if you have a button for people to subscribe, you have to make sure it's highly visible. It can be helpful to add a well worded enticement to get people to subscribe, and make it easy to see. Once you get someone as a subscriber, there's a much greater chance that they'll visit your blog regularly.
If you make a blog and think that things will happen without your help, then you are very wrong. Take consistent action if you want your visitors to move towards becoming readers.
